At the end of every semester, leadership students are invited to take a break from their leadership roles, academic studies, and and life in general to have a semi-formal get together. The Institute rents a local venue and host leadership students, and guests, for an evening of food, fun, and friendship. In the past, socials have included dancing, costume balls, luaus and everything in between. The event is usually catered and sometimes include gift exchanges or white elephant exchanges. The primary goal of the event is to promote relaxation before Final Exams and after a long semester of work.

It is rumored that because all of the leadership students leave campus for several hours, that Austin College is finally able to rest. :)
