Winners of the Asia Week photo contest were announced last week by Asian Studies program staff in anticipation of the week of lectures and presentations April 2-6 on campus. Several students who had studied in Asia in the previous year submitted entries.
The first place award went to senior Manasa Karumiri of Corsicana, Texas, for her photo taken in Chaing Rai, Thailand.
Second place was awarded to senior Jai Khan of Little Elm, Texas. Her shot was taken in Beijing, China.
Senior Anne Deming of Granbury, Texas, received third place for her photo in Longmen Grottoes, China.
Honorable mention went to sophomore Madison Messinger of The Woodlands, Texas, for her shot of Taiwan.
