115 The Art of Listening — A course is designed for the non-music major.
116 Masterpieces of Music — An historic overview of great music.
118 Twentieth Century American Music — Exploring music of the 20th and 21st centuries.
119 Music Fundamentals — A course designed for, but not limited to students considering a major or minor.
120 Music Theory I — While serving as a first course for majors and minor, any qualified student may take this course.
APPLIED MUSIC (private lessons)
Non-music majors may take private lessons for credit when space is available. Previous experience is required, and placement is determined through a brief placement audition.
All ensembles are open to any Austin College student who is accepted through an audition. There are also no restrictions by year-in-school. Contact the Music Office (Craig 103) for more information.
