The Austin College Faculty are soliciting abstracts or synopses from any Austin College student who has undertaken an inquiry, investigation, or artistic project that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to their discipline. Students selected for the 2023 conference will have the opportunity to present the products of their intellectual and creative scholarship at this campus-wide event. The Austin College Student Scholars Conference for 2023 is planned for March 23-25, 2023. Students will be able to present their projects in a manner consistent with their discipline and suited for their form of scholarship. The call for abstracts of projects or synopses of creative works includes all disciplines and divisions of the College. All students are encouraged to submit descriptions of their work whether it was completed at Austin College or as part of an off-campus program.
Each submission must explain the work that was performed and the significance of the contribution to the discipline. Submissions will only be accepted through the Austin College Student Scholarship Conference webpage. Formatting directions and further information can also be found on the conference webpage. The deadline for initial submissions is Monday, November 14, 2022. Monday, February 6, 2023 is the deadline for revisions and “late-breaking” submissions. Student submissions will require an Austin College faculty sponsor.
