Dates for the 2019 - 2020 Carry-Your-Tray Lunch Talk programs will be listed below; topics and details will be posted as they are determined. All Carry-Your-Tray Lunch Talks will be held in Wright Campus Center Room 231 from 12 noon to 1 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Mark your calendars!

Moderated Lunch Discussion: Are Sustainability and Capitalism Compatible?

The Economics and Environmental Studies departments will host a moderated lunch discussion among students, faculty, and staff. The topic under discussion will be whether or not sustainability and capitalism are compatible concepts.
Stump the Chumps: Humanities and Social Sciences Edition

A panel of Austin College professors will answer your questions about the social and political implications of climate change. Come see if you can stump the chumps!

AC Unplugged 2019
Monday, September 30 - Wednesday, October 30
Events hosted weekly this month in celebration of the 10th annual AC Unplugged residence hall energy conservation competition: a race to conserve energy, reduce resource use, and minimize waste production among Austin College's four traditional residence halls.
Annual Sneed Prairie Picnic
Friday, November 1
Environmental studies majors, minors, faculty, and friends are invited to enjoy Sneed Prairie with us. Food, drinks, and good company will be provided (and transportation, if desired). Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and food will be served at 5:30.
Academic Advising 2019
Thursday, October 17
Faculty and Staff will advise majors, minors, and those interested in a major or a minor on upcoming requirements and opportunities. This session will be held in the Moseley Room from 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. If you are unable to attend, please contact Dr. Keith Kisselle. This is a carry-your-tray event and lunch is free for guests who sign in at the Dining Hall.

AC Thinking Green and the Service Station partner to guide a day of service promoting environmental awareness, responsibility, and sustainability. Students, faculty, campus community members, and alumni are invited to participate. Groups or individuals will have the opportunity to sign-up during the weeks before the event.
