Through six innovative programs, students learn cutting-edge business practices and classic economic theories through small classes that incubate discussion, undergraduate research, and experiential learning. Austin College connects students with professional internships and opportunities at top corporations, small businesses, non-profits, and government agencies. Students launch careers with the critical thinking, quantitative analysis, collaborative innovation, communication, and problem-solving skills needed to thrive in a competitive and rapidly changing world.
Should I buy? Should I sell? Students act as business managers, apply risk management theories, and execute trades in an unstable market with a real one-million-dollar portfolio under the supervision of faculty and expert advisors.
Engaging and hands-on, the Product Lab invests interest in developing and pitching ideas to potential customers. The lab includes designing and delivering physical products – giving each student the chance to build a portfolio of practical skills and applied experience.

Experiment with business strategies in an engaging game-like exercise! In the strategic management course, students build a business from the ground up, launch new products to the market and manage the entire product life cycle using a web-based large-scale, full-enterprise simulation interface.
Coca Cola, FedEx, Delta Airlines, Walmart, and IBM are examples of some of the large US corporations that have used or currently using the same simulation interface for their executive training programs. Students at Austin College learn business strategies using a training tool that is widely used in real-life corporate management training.
