Major & Minor

Bachelor of Arts

Is music your passion?  You’ve spent years in lessons, rehearsals, concerts, and contests, so don’t leave it behind—we can help you take your music to the next level.  A music major prepares you for many occupations and interests in music, including teaching and performing, and can be successfully combined with other majors, programs, and study abroad experiences.

Music Degree

Concentrations

At Austin College, we want you to be a part of our ensembles, regardless of your intended major. Every quality ensemble, from our fantastic choirs to exciting bands to amazing orchestras, is open to every AC student who can pass an audition.

Band

JOIN THE BAND! Studies show that participating in a MUSIC ensemble helps new students develop a sense of belonging more quickly, while college musicians have higher GPAs and more academic success.
