We are excited to announce our new RooBotics Team at Austin College!
In Fall 2020, three Austin College Physics seniors took the first steps in developing the program. The response on campus was amazing, even with the pandemic! A larger group of students then built two VEX robots and represented Austin College at the VEXU (University) championship in April 2021. This was the first year that Austin College students have participated in a robotics competition.
We aren’t stopping there! We will continue to compete at the collegiate level and plan to organize VEX tournaments at Austin College for high school and middle school students.
We also regularly offer courses in robotics: Building Robots (Jan Term course open to all students) and Robotics and Advanced Instrumentation (regular semester course for physics/engineering students).
Please contact Dr. Andra Petrean for more information about RooBotics at Austin College.
