I’m a senior double majoring in Neuroscience and French Studies with a minor in Chemistry on the pre-med track. I’m involved in the Pre-Health Society, Muslim Student Association, Alpha Phi Omega, and have even worked as a Resident Manager for student housing! Austin College has provided me so many opportunities and experiences that have been so easy to access that I don’t think I would’ve been able to do at a larger university, like creating my own major tailored to the classes I want to take in a subject I love. As I near the end of my time at AC, I see how this school prepared and provided me so much in my journey towards not only my path to medical school, but also to my life.

I am a sophomore, planning to major in English with a Minor in Education and potentially pursue the ATP Master’s Program. I am a member of Zeta Chi Omega and Austin College Cheer. I am so thankful for the tight-knit community that I have here at AC, amongst both students and teachers. The opportunities given to Austin College students are one of a kind and begin as soon as your freshmen year! One of my favorite memories from freshmen year was being able to travel and compete in Daytona, Florida at NCA College Nationals with all of my teammates. I can’t wait to begin another year and see what the future holds for me here at Austin College.
In Sherman, I love to get Coffee from CJ’s, Starbucks, or Dutch Bros with Friends!

I am an English major and Education and Spanish minor. I am a not only member of the National English Honor’s Society, Sigma Tau Delta, but am also Vice President. Additionally, I am in 3 additional honor societies which allows me to meet other students who heavily focus on their studies as well. I am also in the Austin College Teaching Program (ATP) where I am working on receiving my Master’s degree. With this program, I have taught and observed inside 3 classrooms throughout the Texoma area for about 7 weeks each semester. It is an amazing opportunity that I am forever grateful for being that Austin College pushes applied learning experiences that help the students get into the field of their future career!
My favorite thing to do in Sherman is study at the local coffee shops. CJ’s is my favorite! They have the best sweet tea!

I am a Junior majoring in BioChemistry with a minor in Spanish. Some of the many activities I am involved in on campus that have shaped my experience at Austin College include, Intramural Sports, the AC anglers club, the Posey Leadership Institute, being a First-Year student mentor, and the AC Pre-Health society. My favorite thing about Austin College is that each student is able to tailor their unique college experience by being involved in numerous unique organizations and activities. With a smaller class size here at AC, students are able to build real relationships with students and faculty, which can lead to opportunities and experiences that can have a lifelong impact.
Sherman is and always will be my hometown. Some of my favorite things to do in Sherman include community service and involvement with my church, Faith Church of Sherman, and the Sherman ISD community. I also enjoy being outdoors, eating at the local restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.

I’m a sophomore majoring in healthcare administration, and I am planning to minor in accounting! I’m currently involved in Greek life as I am a member of Alpha Delta Chi along with the Math Club. Austin College’s small class sizes have allowed me to have a more personalized experience regarding my education and has led me to find a major I had no idea I would initially be interested in before coming here. I also love all the opportunities Austin College provides regarding travel abroad during JanTerm that I plan to participate in!
My favorite thing to do in Sherman would be to go to Target several times a week along with going to Herman Baker to picnic with my friends.

I’m a senior majoring in Art and minoring Media Studies. For me, choosing AC meant choosing a community I can always rely on. I’ve been lucky enough to have amazing art professors that push me within my major, and I’m forever grateful for the many chances I’ve had to apply myself outside of my discipline of study. Some highlights of my time at AC are taking part in the Marketing and Communications internship, working in our Writing Center, and traveling to New Mexico, Panama, and South Korea for JanTerm! As I wrap up my time here, it’s a bittersweet feeling to start my next chapter in life - it’s hard to leave a place I’ve found myself in, but I know I’m prepared for whatever comes next!
In Sherman, I love grabbing a poke bowl and visiting the antique mall!

I am a Junior double-majoring in International Business and East Asian Studies. I am involved with NAMI and work in the Adams Center. They're basically my on-campus family. I enjoy Austin College because it has so many opportunities for every student no matter the issue or task, including study abroad, which I plan on undertaking during my Senior year. Every connection I have built with professors so far has helped me chart my path of what I want to do without worrying that I may be doing something wrong. It is only possible thanks to the small classes that allow one to talk to professors one on one. It's definitely a home away from home, too!
My favorite thing in Sherman is walking around all the stores in Downtown and getting boba at Hau'oli Poke Burritos & Bowls afterward! So affordable and just a quick drive from Campus.

I am a senior majoring in Art and minoring in Education. I love staying involved on campus, including planning community events as a Posey Leadership Fellow, playing trumpet with the community Concert and Jazz Bands, and having fun as Vice President of the crochet/knitting club! My favorite things about Austin College have been the small class sizes and many opportunities to study abroad. I had the opportunity to study education in Northern Ireland for the fall semester of 2022. I learned so much about other cultures and their education systems, which challenged my way of thinking in all the best ways, and I can’t wait to apply my new knowledge in my own future classroom.
Sherman has a lot of really great parks; you just have to know where to look! I always enjoy having picnics with friends, hiking, or going on a jog, depending on the day. You can count on the grass being green all year and always having a great view!

I'm a sophomore planning on creating my own major in Sports Medicine and minoring in Art, I'm on the pre-Athletic Training track. On campus I'm involved with volunteering as an athletic trainer and I'm also a part of the board game club. I also compete in intramurals. I love that AC offers small class sizes and this allows me to build relationships with my professors. Additionally, the Writing Center and the tutoring services are top notch.
My favorite thing to do in Sherman is go to AC's Lake Campus and just have fun in the sun, hanging out with friends

I am a senior that is double majoring in Business Administration and Communications. Organizations that I am involved in on campus are AC Filmmakers and AC Muslim Students Association. During my 3 years at Austin College, the thing that I enjoyed the most in this college is the small tight-knit community we have here. It is nice being able to see your friends, classmates, and professors everyday just by walking around campus.

Hi! I’m Nataly and I am a senior at Austin College. I am majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Education and Spanish. Something I love about Austin College is the small class sizes. It makes the communication and relationship with your professor so much easier to maintain. Being at Austin College has allowed me to become involved in many things on campus. Some of the things I am involved with on campus are being in a sorority, working in the library, being the treasurer of Psych club and much more. Additionally, Austin College has given me many opportunities that have allowed me to both grow and apply what I have learned during my time here. Some of these things include student teaching at the local schools and having the opportunity to go to Argentina this next JanTerm. As I get closer to graduating, I realize how grateful I am for the opportunities I had while being a student at Austin College.
One of my favorite things to do I’m Sherman is going to get Dutch Bros coffee with my friends!

I'm Selina, a sophomore who is planning on majoring in Molecular Biology on the pre-med track and minoring in accounting. I'm involved in a few organizations on campus, such as Black Expressions, Students Today Alumni Tomorrow (STAT), and Kangakrew. I enjoy cycling outside, playing volleyball and softball, dancing, painting, and listening to K-pop. What I really enjoy here at AC is how friendly and supportive the professors are. Even though I'm a sophomore, I've had many professors say they believe in me and that I'm capable of being great. If you see me around, don't be afraid to say hi. I'm always willing to talk and meet new people!
My favorite things to do in Sherman consist of late night IHOP runs and getting Boba from Nini's Cafe.
