Austin College’s Alpha Psi theatre honorary organization is hosting a production of A Memory, a Monologue, a Rant, and a Prayer on February 23 at 7 p.m. in Ida Green Communication Center’s Ida Green Theatre. Admission is $5 for the general public and $2 with a valid Austin College ID. Proceeds will benefit the Grayson Crisis Center and the V-Day Spotlight Campaign that supports formerly incarcerated women.
The anthology of monologues opens a dialogue about violence around the world including sensitive topics such as attempted rape, child abuse, sexual harassment, and domestic violence. The collection features several authors and playwrights and is edited by Eve Ensler and Mollie Doyle.
