General Awards - Covers a portion of course fees depending on need and class rank. CRITERIA • Financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid • No Austin College international experience • Minimum 3.00 GPA for Stephens Scholarship • Good academic standing for General Award • Good disciplinary standing • No unpaid balance on student account • Projected classification as of the end of the Spring 2024 semester • Reasons for traveling abroad as discussed in the descriptive essay (required for Stephens applicants ONLY) • Junior or senior classification by JanTerm 2025 (required for Stephens applicants ONLY) HOW JANTERM SCHOLARSHIPS WORK A JanTerm scholarship offsets the course fee charged to a student enrolled in a travel JanTerm, which then typically decreases the amount the student owes by the (2) payment deadlines scheduled for JanTerm.
