I graduated from Austin College in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. After working in Austin for the Legislature for several years, I am back in North Texas working for the regional agency that operates the Dallas North Tollway.
Austin College provided academic gifts beyond measure – a classical education in a small college setting, grounding me in the core texts of Western Civilization so I could work in a rapidly changing world with many ethical challenges and questions. My professors – particularly Street, Rohmer, Williams, and too many others to name – delivered a top-tier education experience, laying the groundwork for my own explorations as I matured personally and professionally. Worth every penny in student loans, Austin College fulfilled its role as an alma mater. What a blessing to have found this gem of an institution.
