At Austin College the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors are always a priority. In order to minimize the spread of COVID-19 on our campus, we want to reassure you that we are taking all necessary precautions. A response team meets regularly to stay on top of the latest information from local, county, state, and federal authorities. We have quarantine residences at the ready and all our facilities are cleaned and disinfected using medical grade cleaners.
The Admission office is offering weekly on campus visits and continue to offer virtual visits. Guests to campus will be required to wear a face covering inside all buildings. Our admission staff are working to support all students and families through the college admission process and are responding to emails, phone calls, and texts.
Current students may not host visitors in their place of residence. Parents, friends, and family members are welcome to visit current students on campus in an agreed-upon location outside of their place of residence. Your commitment helps our campus remain healthy and open to visitors. No visitors are allowed in any dorms or residential facilities, including the common rooms. Exception: Visitors assisting students with move-out in May need not register and are allowed indoor briefly for assistance. Masks are required indoors at all times.
All visitors to campus, including vendors and students’ guests, are required to complete a Visitor Health Check Form prior to arrival on campus. The form will be submitted by email to the designated office/person on campus for review and approval to enter campus. No visitors will be allowed on campus without completing this Visitor Health Check Form. Visitors who pose a health risk are not allowed on campus. Once your visit is approved, the person who is hosting your visit will arrange a place to meet on campus. All buildings will remain restricted to card access only.
Visitors must wear a mask at all times, remain at safe physical distances, and follow all campus health and safety protocols.
