Wright Campus Center Revised Hours of Operation
In order to accommodate the revised dining hall hours effective Saturday, April 11, we are modifying the hours of operation for the Wright Campus Center until further notice:
- Monday-Friday – WCC will be open from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. (1st floor doors only). After 7 p.m. the building will be card access only with all interior doors locked.
- Saturday – Sunday – WCC will be open from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. with card access only to the building or you can use the main entrance doors by dining room which will be unlocked, after 7 p.m. the building will be card access only with all interior doors locked.
Please be ‘Roosponsible and help stop the spread of this virus. Stay healthy!
Food Service Hours May 8 through May 15 have been modified. Students can continue to enjoy a wide variety of food choices while they remain on campus. There’s plenty of hand sanitizer, and lots of room for social distancing while enjoying time together!

Monday – Friday
Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Dinner: 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday
Brunch: 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Dinner: 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
This is a block schedule and doors will be closed between meal periods.

2020 Summer Courses
Due to the uncertainty around COVID-19, all undergraduate classes initially scheduled for Summer 2020 have been canceled. Any students who wish to take courses at another institution over the summer should discuss their plans with their mentor and then submit a Transfer Course Approval Form to the Registrar’s Office. For more information on transfer credit, see “Transfer Credit for Continuing Students” at the bottom of page 66 in the Austin College Bulletin.

Most of our staff are currently working remotely, but we are closely monitoring all messages. Remote Access Learning
Students, check your MyAC Student portal for remote class access, instructions, and other information, and stay in contact with your professors.
The Office of Academic Affairs has issued a “Temporary Emergency Grading Accommodation” for the Spring 2020 Semester to allow students to change some courses to a S/D/U grading system through May 4. See details below.
Academic Skills Center, Writing Center, and Library
Austin College will continue providing the support you need by making tutoring and library services available remotely! This information is also available on your MyAC Remote Assistance page:
All work-study students will be paid for the hours you would normally work whether you are able to work them or not. Students are not required to return to campus in order to keep your work-study jobs. Get in touch with your supervisor to discuss your options. Please Note: You will still be required to submit your hours for approval each pay period following the normal process.

Campus Mail Services are open!
Those who will be off campus for the rest of the semester should contact the Mail Center at email@example.com to be placed on the extended mail forwarding list. Anyone who completed a temporary (3 week) mail forward may need to update the Mail Center at this time.
Please note: Only United States Postal Service (USPS) First Class Mail and Priority Mail are eligible for forwarding services. UPS, FedEx, and all other USPS mail cannot be forwarded. You may contact the Mail Center at 903.813.2199 regarding your options for any packages that do not meet the forwarding requirements.

Credits & Refunds
Efforts are already underway on appropriate credits and refunds for room and board. Each family will receive information by mid-May regarding student accounts. Please know that each situation is unique and we thank you for your understanding as we work through the process. Please direct inquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Living on Campus
The campus will remain open for the students who chose to return. We will continue to make sure that essential services are available to maintain their health and safety. Students who have not already opted to return to campus are no longer allowed to do so.
For students who have personal belongings on campus: we will provide instructions by email about how and when you can retrieve your items. If you have specific questions, do not hesitate to contact email@example.com.
