Credits and Residency Requirements
Degree Components²
¹ If students elect to complete the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) program, a minor or additional major is not required for graduation. ² Students who entered Austin College prior to Fall 2019 should consult the Bulletin for 2018-2019 or earlier for degree requirements. ³ Students may declare a major at any time after the first day of classes. Minors cannot be declared without a major in place. For students who enter the College as freshmen, both a major and minor or two majors (or PPE program) must be declared by the fourth semester of enrollment. Transfer students must declare a major or minor or two majors (or PPE program) by the close of the sophomore year (i.e., in which 15 course credits are completed and enrolled in). |
For students and faculty mentors who prefer a more hands-on approach to degree planning, the following checklists were developed for the Overall Austin College Degree Plan and each major and minor offered in the current Bulletin for the current academic year.
