I | Incomplete. Incomplete grades are given only if circumstances beyond the student’s control prevented completion of the course. To obtain credit, an incomplete grade must be removed by the end of the next regular term. Unless the incomplete is removed within the time set, the grade in the course will automatically become F or U. | Not calculated |

WM | Withdrawal from the course for documented medical circumstances | Not calculated |
AU | Audit | Not calculated |
Courses dropped before the end of the seventh week of classes will not be listed on the official transcript. Courses with grades of F and U are counted as courses attempted for purposes of computing grade point averages. Courses with grades of S, W, WM, or I are not included in the computation of grade point averages.

Courses that have a mandatory S/D/U grading system are coded as “S” in the column to the left of the course title on an official transcript. Courses not coded with the “S” were petitioned by the student for a change in the grading system.
For repeated courses, only the last attempt is used to determine credit earned and grade point average unless the grade for the last attempt is a “W” or “WP” in which case the previous attempt is used to determine credit and grade point average.
Students enrolled in 1992-93 when the new grading system was approved were allowed to elect a grading system; therefore, students may have different grade point values for the same letter grade on their transcripts. All new students beginning in Fall 1993 are graded in accordance with the system which gives the grade point values to plus and minus grades.
Beginning Summer 2004, the course numbering system changed to a three-digit number. Some students who were first enrolled prior to that term will have both two- and three-digit course numbers on their transcripts. Courses numbered 001-099 are participation/proficiency non-credit courses, 100-199 are introductory level, 200-299 are intermediate level, 300-399 are advanced level, 400-499 are more advanced, and 500-599 are graduate level courses.
