Dr. Michael Imhoff, retired Austin College Professor of Chemistry and Vice President for Academic Affairs, passed away after a sudden severe case of pancreatitis on December 29, 2024.

Anne Hebert Smith, married to the late former Austin College President Harry E. Smith when he began his tenure in 1978, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024.

At the 2024 American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting & Expo in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dr. Saritha Bangara and her student research team won the APHA Women’s Caucus Highest Scoring Student Abstract Award.

Graduate of the philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE) program, Alison Boehmer ’19 presented a lecture titled “Work & Political Control: The Political Economy of U.S. State Prisons” to students, faculty, and staff as part of the PPE Lecture series.

Austin College President Emeritus Oscar C. Page passed away peacefully Saturday morning, November 23, 2024, surrounded by his beloved wife, Anna Laura, and his family.
