Debra Flowers is an adjunct instructor of Communication. She teaches courses in public speaking, communication in human relations, and family communication. Debra received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication, and her Master of Arts in Communication from the University of North Texas.
For twenty years, Debra worked as a seminar leader and communications consultant. She taught seminars in the Value Systems Analysis theory and its management applications, positive employee relations, employee selection, leadership, team building, performance appraisal, and conference leadership skills. In her consulting, she wrote employee handbooks, helped organizations set up selection systems and new employee orientation programs, and advised on employee attitude survey results and implementation.
Debra is the co-author of three books and the author of numerous articles that appeared in professional publications. She also wrote and performed in three video presentations that were commercially sold. Debra and her late husband, Vince Flowers, Ph.D., have created a website, www.valuesystems-thatslife.net, which brings together and reformats previously published work and includes more recent work. Everything is open to the public and formatted into over 100 PowerPoint presentations, which contain text, pictures, cartoons, charts, and drawings.
