2024 Cindy Curtis Bean Service to Alumni Award

David joined the Austin College staff in 1997 and currently serves as the Executive Director of Facilities. He has spent nearly three decades maintaining the buildings and outdoor spaces on campus, ensuring students, faculty, and staff are comfortable and upholding Austin College’s reputation as an extraordinarily beautiful place to learn, live, and work. David also manages all campus renewal projects, and is largely responsible for bringing the significant upgrades throughout the grounds in the past several years to fruition.

David lives in Leonard, Texas with his wife Melinda and dog, Cooper. They have one daughter, Rachael, and five grandchildren, Blaze, Tippie, Maddie, Kaden, and Mac. When he’s not on campus, David enjoys attending his grandchildren’s many sporting events.
