"I absolutely feel that Austin College equipped me for my career and I would not have found my career if it wasn't for Austin College.  In fact, I didn't even realize that you could make a career based around caring about people. 

I've spent the vast majority of my career debating ideologies with people, and I absolutely learned how to do that at Austin College. I learned how to analyze the situation, think about it critically, think about what it could change, draw connections, form ideas of my own, and then sit there and defend it with people who felt very differently, and especially people who were much older than me, much more established than me, and hold my own in a room where I was by far the youngest, oftentimes by decades, and often the only woman in the room. I had experienced a lot of things at Austin College that gave me the grit and the determination resilience that I needed."
