Austin College taught me to be a lifelong learner. Learning does not stop after college, and I find that curiosity is the best skill my college experience equipped me with. This curiosity about new languages and places has taken me as far as South Korea for a Fulbright teaching award. Now, this passion brings me closer to home to serve the community around me. My current hobbies include improving my Spanish skills to better assist Spanish-speaking patients at work. I enjoy weekly Spanish classes and listening to new music to learn new vocabulary! In the next year, I hope to travel to Colombia and Guatemala for Spanish classes and travel. In my role at Advanced Dermasurgery, I assist physicians in treating skin cancer and coordinate post-operative care. I am currently attending UNTHSC for my Master of Medical Science degree and hope to enter the medical field after.
