Assistant Coach
Men’s Soccer
University of Maryland
College Park, Maryland
As assistant men’s soccer coach, I have been able to mentor young men during their college years and have had success on the field with a National Championship in 2018 and a Big Ten Championship in 2022.
I enjoy serving when I have free time through our church in Baltimore, normally with preparing meals for underserved communities in Baltimore or with providing plastic ware for the church's homeless breakfast each week.
In my current work, the most important thing I do is communicate with people all over the country and world. I firmly believe that the international experiences in studying abroad and JanTerm helped to open my eyes in regards to different people and cultures. After graduation, I spent two years a Teach For America corps member in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and then, with the help of mentors at Austin College, most notably Patrick Duffey, I was able to win a Fulbright English Teaching award to Colombia. These experiences have informed my approach to my career and have helped to steer me towards my current career in coaching.
