I own a solar consulting company where I partner with the best solar installation and financing companies, panel and inverter manufacturers to provide the best services to our clients. I also train other people and businesses to become solar energy experts. My mission is building a better world together by switching homeowners, businesses and nonprofit organizations to clean, renewable, abundant solar energy while saving money on their electric bill. We live in unprecedented times where we are faced with an existential threat to human life on Earth as we know it: human-caused climate change.  

I strongly believe that giving back is part of any business model in the better, more sustainable world we are building. That’s why we are striving to give back to the communities that need it the most. My family is from Ukraine, and since the war in Ukraine started, we have supported various nonprofits and individuals in the U.S. and Ukraine who are helping Ukrainian civilians, children and military. Another service project that I am involved in is organized by my largest business partner and two non-profit organizations in the US and Mexico. Twice a year a group of solar professionals go to very “un-touristy” parts of Mexico and build homes with solar panels and battery back for families in need who have never had homes of their own, set aside homes with electricity. 

Austin College, in particular the Environmental Studies program, opened my eyes and opened my world. Once one learns a reality of environmental destruction, extraction economy, consequences of overconsumption, and most importantly, climate change, it is impossible to unlearn it. The field of changing the way we live and perceive the world does not have clear paths. There is no career plan or a profession that would show us that if we start here, we will end up here and make the most difference in changing the world. I believe that we as humanity have all the tools and resources to combat the worst consequences of climate change.
