King was the 2024 Baccalaureate speaker and, at Commencement, received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Austin College. King graduated summa cum laude from Austin College, where she majored in Spanish and cultural anthropology. She earned a Master of Divinity degree from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2013, where she received the Field Education Award. King serves as chair of the Board of Trustees of Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Her ministry at St. Philip includes preaching, leading worship, teaching, and pastoral care. She focuses on ministry with youth and young adults to accompany them as they experience the transformative love of Jesus Christ in their lives.
