Zauk Circle Drive and Garden was named for B.H. and Margaret Zauk, parents of Margaret Binkley Collins, who with her husband William Collins, donated the funds to build this circle drive entrance to Austin College. The Collins have long been generous supporters of the college and, because of their active participation in various campus events, have become personally well-known to many faculty members and students. The Zauk Circle Drive and Garden provides a formal entrance into the campus for persons visiting the Wortham Center.
At the apex of the raised garden stands the singular statue “Quest.” This work of art quickly became a campus landmark and symbolizes the intertwining of educational disciplines and the never-ending search for knowledge.
