The ENSURE program (ENhancing Success through Undergraduate Research Experiences) is an opportunity for incoming students with diverse backgrounds to gain experience in a research laboratory, work with current Austin College undergraduate students, receive mentorship from faculty, and learn about Austin College. The ENSURE program often offers research opportunities in biology, chemistry, neuroscience, and/or mathematics.
Incoming first year students must be accepted to Austin College and have paid their deposit before starting the ENSURE program. ENSURE students will join existing summer research teams already in session and work closely with current undergraduate students and a faculty mentor on a research project. The research is disseminated publicly on campus during the annual Austin College Scholars Conference (ACSC).
