“Austin College is where I developed a voice as an artist and discovered my passion for photography. The faculty challenged me to think conceptually, broadened my knowledge in the arts, and helped instill confidence in my capabilities. This directly shapes the work I make today. As a working artist, I apply my background in psychology and art to tell conceptual stories. Most recently, I have work in the 2017 Pingyao International Photography Festival, Passageways II: SPE Honored Educators and Their Students exhibition alongside my former AC photography professor Tim Tracz. Currently, I work as a Library Technical Assistant II at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, TX where I am the library’s Photographer and Digital Content Specialist. Basically, if the library needs something creative, I do it! While I may not use my degree in the most conventional way, the education I received at AC helped shaped me into the individual I am today.”
