Description: This course will focus on the politics of energy. The energy component will include carbon intensive products like coal, oil, and gas as well as renewable energy resources. The political side will focus on the dynamics these products create domestically and internationally. The students will have a chance to dig deeper on political, economic, and environmental repercussions of all types of energy resources. The course will have both a theoretical and practical side. The theoretical part will happen through the lectures and the articles assignments while the practical side will come from on-site visits to energy companies and institutions as well as discussions on documentaries on energy.
