Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program
The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is open to U.S. citizen undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide.
Benefit:
Up to $5000 toward an approved study abroad program. Up to $3000 is additionally available if you are studying a critical needs language.
When are you eligible to apply? The scholarship can be used for summer following freshman, sophomore, or junior year, or in an academic semester during sophomore, junior, or first-semester senior year. Applications are due the semester before study abroad.
What kind of GPA will you need? You must meet AC GPA approval to study abroad.
