The mission of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations (CF&G) is to obtain philanthropic support for College initiatives through the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
There are many ways for corporations and foundations to support Austin College’s mission, such as providing support for:
- Academic programs
- Faculty/Student Research
- Undergraduate Research
- Curriculum enhancement
- Student life initiatives
- Facilities and Equipment support and donations
- Scholarships
- Consortial initiatives
In addition to College initiatives, we support faculty’s proposals to fund individual research and curricular projects.
Finding funding: We offer help identifying and targeting potential sources of support. To get started you can visit the Funding Information Network. If you have a project in mind, please complete the External Grant Interest Form.
Proposal and Budget Preparation: This website offers lots of information about budgets, proposals, and Austin College policies and procedures related to grants. We offer help developing your budget and proposal.
Once you are ready to begin your proposal, please complete the Intent To Submit Form. We are available to assist with all steps of the proposal process. We will review proposals to be sure they meet College and sponsor requirements and work with faculty to submit proposals.
Post-award assistance: We work with faculty to help manage awards, ensure compliance with Austin College and federal regulations, and oversee reporting for faculty grants administered by Austin College. When your grant is awarded, we’ll make a plan to meet all requirements. For guidance, please see the Austin College Post-Award Handbook.
Compliance: Austin College has a commitment to our faculty, staff, and sponsors that includes adopting policies and procedures for educating research personnel and promoting the appropriate and responsible conduct of research. These policies are based on Federal guidelines.
