As Director of Disaster Response and Recovery at Collaborative for Children I am focused on restoring high-quality early childhood education and care across the Gulf Coast region following Hurricane Harvey and building resilience to future disasters. Previously, I served as Policy and Advocacy Advisor and Programme Development and Management Officer for World Vision International South Sudan Emergency Response. Before that, I was the Network Coordinator and Program Manager for the Center on Conflict and Development at Texas A&M University working as the primary liaison between the center and ongoing field research and program initiatives in Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and South Sudan. Prior to this, I was based in South Africa as the Coordinator for African Programs for the Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture. My international education work began as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Armenia from 2007-2009. I have a Master’s of International Affairs from the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University and a B.A. in Psychology from Austin College.
