My name is Jimmy Wilkins and I am the Area Coordinator for Baker Hall and the Hass Villages on Grand. As an Area Coordinator it brings me joy to assist in building a community based on Pride and Self-advocacy. I assist students in their transition from adolescents into early adulthood, act as a resource to students to become connected with the campus, and work with students to promote holistic growth and success. Learning does not end in the classroom, but translates over into where they live, and it is my duty to make where they live one that is healthy and happy.
I received my Bachelors in Psychology and Social Sciences and my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas. I worked in the Division of Student Affairs at UNT in the Office of Spiritual Life as well as in Residence Life and Housing as an RA/SCA.
In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar, skateboarding, and laughing and learning with my little girl. I am so happy to be a part of ROONation, growing alongside a community striving towards academic success and various social achievement. ROO-puns are maybe my favorite, so please come see me and tell me your best line.
Let’s have a ROO-Tastic time!
