Austin College’s Robbie Kubela Rogers Lake Campus will be closed Friday, August 17, through Sunday, August 19, for Opening of School activities. No pedestrian or vehicle traffic, except in connection with these events, will be allowed on the grounds during this time. The Lake Campus will reopen for normal operation on Monday, August 20.
The Robbie Kubela Rogers Lake Campus is located on Preston Peninsula at Lake Texoma. It is available to members of the College community (faculty, staff, students, and alumni) for recreational activities, meetings, and camping. The 30-acre site was named in 1983 in honor of the trustee who donated funds for numerous improvements to the recreational area.
The area is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. for all Austin College community members with a valid College ID, except during Opening of School Weekend and Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday breaks, Spring Break, and Austin College Experience (a spring Saturday).
Alumni can request an ID card from Campus Police during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to Noon, and 1 to 4:30 p.m.
Overnight camping is permitted, though there are no gas or water hookups. Restroom and shower facilities are available onsite, as is a covered pavilion.
