Instructor: Stephanie Gould
Description: In this class students will examine practical steps to improve their overall approach to learning and put their new strategies into practice by learning to knit. Students will learn and discuss current ideas about how learning works and document their process of learning a new skill through daily reflections and an end of course photo-story. Each student will create several items to donate to Yarns of Hope: a local charity that provides knitted items to cancer patients in the DFW area. No prior experience with knitting is needed; in fact the point is to learn something new! Students who have prior experience with crocheting are welcome and will be challenged with complex patterns and new to them stitches.
