Lisa M. Brown, professor of psychology, has a love for teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. Several of her research students have presented research at regional and national conferences. She has conducted research on the nature of stigma as it related to ethnic identity, anti-Arab/anti-Muslim prejudice, and the role of ethnicity and ethnic identity in romantic partner preferences. Brown has served on various committees including Faculty Executive Committee, Curriculum Committee, and the Faculty Planning Council for the 2015-2020 Austin College Strategic Plan. After Brown was promoted to full professor in 2014, she served on the Faculty Retention and Promotion Committee.
