In partnership with our campus bookstore vendor Follett, all required textbooks will be provided at no charge to students automatically through our new Textbook Access Pass (TAP) program. The cost is covered by tuition—meaning you won’t have any out-of-pocket cost for textbooks (print or digital) at the start of the semester. 
The required texts for the courses your student is registered for will be provided either at the Campus Bookstore or electronically through Moodle. This will ensure that all students have their essential texts from day one and will take away the uncertainty of searching online for the best price, borrowing from a classmate, or doing without. We want all our students to have what they need for this transformative education.

You have four options:  

1. Online through your student's Self-Service - Available 24/7.  Debit/Credit card transactions will have a 2.5%   convenience fee; e-checks will not have a fee. 

2. By Mail - to Austin College 900 N Grand Ave, Ste 6F Sherman TX  75090.  Please include Student name and Student ID number on the check.  

3. By Phone - Cashier available at (903) 813-2443 from 9am - 3pm M-F.  

4. In Person - Business Office hours are from 8am - 5pm M-F. 

The Austin College Health & Wellness Center offers support for your student’s physical and mental health.  We have a licensed nurse on staff to address common illnesses like cold and flu, a rotating group of physicians that visit to cover different specialties, and licensed professional counselors on staff to provide short term mental health counseling.  Visit our Wellness & Safety page to learn more. 

Each Fall, first-year students will begin moving in on the Friday prior to the start of classes, with returning students following on the Sunday and Monday before classes typically begin on Tuesday. 
During the year, the residence halls close the week of Thanksgiving, during the winter holiday between semesters, and during spring break. During those breaks, students typically must leave by 5PM on Friday and may return at noon the day before classes begin again. 
Students who need an extension may request one through the student life office.  At the end of the spring semester, students move out by 5 PM on the last day of exams.  Consult the Academic Calendar to find the corresponding dates for the current term. 
 

Spring Term Registration occurs the 2nd week of November

Fall Term Registration occurs the 3rd week of April

The Academic Calendar has the specific dates and your student will meet with their faculty mentor for advising to review the student’s degree plan and goals and help the student select their courses, in the two weeks leading up to registration.

During the regular semester, the Dining Hall is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday - Friday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Your student should send a detailed email to the Physical Plant to report the problem. This will generate a work order. Only the student can submit the maintenance request so that the physical plant staff member can follow up with them directly to resolve the issue.
