Important Residence Life Dates
Residence halls and the Jordan Family Language House are closed during the periods listed below.
Students must vacate their rooms during these breaks, but do not need to move out their belongings until the end of the academic year in May. Students living in ’Roo Suites, flats, and cottages are not required to vacate their rooms during breaks.
Thanksgiving Break 2024
The college will close for the Thanksgiving Break starting at 5 PM on Friday, November 22. Students will not be allowed to return to their rooms until Noon on Sunday, December 1.
Winter Break 2024/2025
The college will close for the Winter Holiday starting at 5 PM on Friday, December 13. Students will not be allowed to return to their rooms until Noon on Wednesday, January 1.
Spring Break 2025
The college will close for Spring Break starting at 5 PM on Friday, March 7. Students will not be allowed to return to their rooms until Noon on Sunday, March 16.
End of Year Move-Out
All students living on campus must be moved out completely by 5 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 205.
Students requesting an extension, including graduating Seniors, must complete Extension Request Form, available in the MyAC (Student Portal), by Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Noon.

Academic Year 2025-2026
All applications will be available in WebHopper
- December 1st: Hass Village on Grand application opens at 8:30am
- January 22: Hass Village on Grand application closes at 5:00pm
- February 6: 2-Person Flats and 4-Person Flats/Roo Suites applications open at 8:30am
- March 17: Traditional Hall Double Room applications open
- March 17: Single Room application opens at 8:30 a.m.
- April 4: Single Room application closes at 5:00 p.m.
- April 21: Traditional Hall Double Room applications close at 5:00 p.m.
- May 7: Rising Senior Off-Campus Residency Forms due to SLO Office, WCC 201 by 5:00 p.m.

Austin College has many on-campus resources your family needs to navigate the undergraduate years. You can contact these offices at any time for answers to questions.
Financial Aid Office
The Financial Aid office is your point of contact for understanding your student’s federal and institutional grants, loans, and scholarships. Once you’ve accepted your aid package, questions about student billing go to the business office.
Student Billing
Student Billing is responsible for assisting your student with questions related to their account, payment options, 1098-T tax forms, and more. If you would like to speak directly with this office regarding charges on your student’s account, make sure your student has completed the FERPA form granting you access. Student Billing
Information Technology
If your student is having problems with the wireless network, accessing their email, printing, and more, direct them to submit an email to the HelpDesk, or give the Help Desk a call. The talented IT staff are here to help students to ensure a positive experience on campus with technology.
Student Life Office
The Student Life Office is your student’s go-to for all things related to their residential experience, campus organizations, and finding ways to get involved. Students are always welcome to drop into the Student Life Office, located on the second floor of the Wright Campus Center (WCC), to ask questions or share concerns.
Student Success Office
Success and support come in many forms for our diverse student body. The Student Success Office is ready to assist your student through strengthening their note taking and study skills, tutoring in a subject, hosting review sessions before the big midterm. Access Services supports students who request accommodations and works individually with students to coordinate those with their faculty.
Health & Wellness Services
Our nurse and counseling team are on campus to help your student navigate managing their physical and mental health and wellness. Our health clinic on campus provides a broad range of services and has a strong network with the local medical community to assist your student with any concerns.
