Ayelia graduated in 2016 with a double major in Public Health and International Relations. Her interest in global health took her to Switzerland in 2015, where she studied abroad and learned about global health systems and international development. After graduating, Ayelia accepted a U.S. Fulbright English Teaching Assistant position in Malaysia. She taught English in Sarawak, Malaysia in a rural secondary school, while applying cross-cultural diplomacy. Since returning back to Texas, Ayelia has accepted a position as an Educator at North Texas Alliance to Reduce Unintended Pregnancies in Teens (NTARUPT). She is excited to teach comprehensive reproductive health in Dallas schools and engage in community outreach. She hopes to pursue her MPH afterwards.
