Rathna Nuti ’09 was accepted to Texas Tech University School of Medicine (TTSOM) in Lubbock through the early acceptance agreement between Austin College and TTSOM. After medical school, she spent three years in a Family & Community Medicine residency at UT Southwestern and then a Sports Medicine fellowship at Drexel in Philadelphia. She is currently with TMI Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery where she cares for patients with musculoskeletal issues as well as serving as the assistant team physician for NHL Dallas Stars. Rathna’s Austin College education provided the foundation for her career. “My professors not only gave me a sturdy knowledge base teaching me to think and evaluate information critically, but also encouraged and fostered my academic pursuits. Besides this, they became involved in my interests outside of academics and genuinely cared about my overall well-being. I owe my success to their dedication and the confidence they built up for me to strive for higher achievements.”
