After graduation from Austin College, Richa attended Texas A&M University and received her Ph.D. in Chemistry. She is currently employed by the University of St. Thomas as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Physics.
“My experiences outside the classroom (i.e., research in the Chemistry Department, January Terms abroad, A Cappella Choir) were the most impactful and memorable parts of my Austin College education. During my research experiences with Dr. Carr, I not only had the opportunity to perform real meaningful science outside of the classroom and course laboratories but I also had direct mentorship and career advising. This is the reason that I chose to pursue a degree in chemistry and an academic career!”
