Austin College alum, Dr. Brent T. Williams ‘86, leads effort at the University of Arkansas, resulting in a 5-year grant of $32 Million to fund a program aimed at improving the education and career outcomes of low-income Arkansas teenagers with disabilities called the Promoting the Readiness Of Minors in Supplemental Security Income (PROMISE) Initiative. Williams is the associate professor of rehabilitation education and research at the University of Arkansas.
