The professors in the political science made sure to provide a concrete path for students. Above all, they helped me translate what I was learning in the classroom, into a career path. They had the uncanny ability to predict the skills I needed to work on so that I would be a better candidate for the jobs I wanted. The political science department took the time to find scholarships and summer jobs for students, and consistently nurtured any interests students had in organizing groups, or events and special guests. Through their program I was able to meet a myriad of professionals working in the field, during lectures and classroom visits. These experiences, and the curriculum that the department provided, helped me land on my feet after college. I have no doubt that the successes I’ve had after graduating are owed in a large part to the support I received from the political science department.
