The STAR Leadership Program has impacted how I interact and communicate with other people. In classes and in the future in the workforce, I will have relationships with many different kinds of people. By learning about conflict resolution and the various leadership theories, I have found techniques that have helped me when working in groups or teams to achieve a goal.
The STAR Program has given me knowledge that I can use for the rest of my life, in my personal and professional lives. I have received more clarity about my goals for the future, therefore allowing me to achieve these goals successfully. I have also learned more about my strengthens and weaknesses, which has helped me work on myself to be the best person I can be.
After graduation, my plan is to attend medical school and hopefully also receive my MPH during those four years as well. I want to be a physician who has a good reputation and also lives up to the reputation. One of my main professional goals is to travel to underserved areas to provide healthcare to those that have limited access. Personally, I want to keep working on my communication skills and building strong relationships with those around me.
