Stuart Borrett, Ph.D. is Professor of Biology and Marine Biology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington where he and his students study ecosystem organization and dynamics. He is also currently serving as the Interim Associate Provost for Research. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University, and earned a Ph.D. in ecology at the University of Georgia. Prior to graduate school Stuart worked for the environmental consulting company ENTRIX (which subsequently merged with Cardno). Stuart has the distinction of being the first graduate of the Austin College Environmental Studies program.
