I graduated from Austin College in 2015 with a degree in International Relations. In 2017, I received my Masters in Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I’m working as an Analyst for the Office of Performance & Innovation, an internal consulting firm, at the City of Minneapolis. Our work includes performance management of city services and human-centered design thinking for city service process improvement.
Austin College prepared me to be a critical thinker, clear communicator, and open-minded learner. The liberal arts experience allowed me to engage with topics that I was unfamiliar with and grow deeper in my skill sets. I was better prepared for graduate school because of the discipline and detail that was expected of me in my undergraduate classes. Furthermore, Austin College prepared me for my career in government by providing me and my fellow students access to real-life experiences and encouraging practical applications of our classwork. I am immensely proud to be a part of ‘Roo Nation!
