Instructor: Ed Richardson
Description: This course is the same course I taught in JanTerm 2023. Students will learn generally about wargaming and its application to the real world. Students will study and master a complex gaming system that accounts for units, weather, terrain, politics, supply, historical factors, and luck. They will focus specifically on the conflict in WW2 in Europe and will learn the strategic value of supply lines and conditions which affect strategic choices like weather and fog of war. Students will be required to complete and submit daily after action reports detailing their strategic plans, those of their opponent, and any adjustments that had to be made “on the fly”. Feedback from students in JT 2023 was extremely positive.
