Description: This course studies our relationship with the words that we use, the way that we think, and how we live our lives. Students will explore their own and others’ identities through the words that they use internally and externally as well as the way that those words interact with our thoughts, actions, and beliefs. Students will develop skills of metacognition, critical thinking, interviewing, and qualitative inquiry through engagement with etymology, ethical and moral thinking, and psychology.
