The Austin College football team had its entire 2020 schedule wiped out after the Southern Athletic Association decided to suspend all conference athletic competition through the fall season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “While we are disappointed, we fully support this decision as our primary focus is on the safety and welfare of our student-athletes,” said Austin College Director of Athletics David Norman.

That includes volleyball, cross country, and soccer at Austin College. Football was canceled just hours later as a part of the Southern Athletic Association’s decision.
