Austin College Center for Career & Professional Development welcomes employers to recruit candidates from a variety of college majors. Recruiters may pre-screen resumes prior to the interview date. The sign-up procedure for students is coordinated by the Career Center and individual rooms allow privacy during the interview. Although we allow third party recruiting, we require disclosure of the company and job descriptions prior to recruitment and/or interviewing.
It is up to the discretion of the Career Center staff to recommend to employers the most appropriate method to recruit students on campus. Circumstances and time may determine availability of facilities. A two to three week notice is necessary to schedule a campus visit.

Approximately 93% of an Austin College graduating class will have utilized the Career Center during their undergraduate education. Our data shows that over 83% of a graduating class participates in some form of internship or Applied Learning through the Career Center and/or another Austin College sponsored experience. We know that there are even more graduates who take advantage of numerous internship opportunities outside of Austin College, as well, translating into our graduates being very prepared to take on the role of professional employees! Key Strategies for Converting Interns (PDF)
As a recruiter you will definitely want to participate in one or all of our on-campus events during the year! In September we hold a Non-Profit Volunteer & Internship Fair to introduce our students to all of the wonderful opportunities to get involved in the Non-Profit sector. In early October we hold a Fall Recruitment Day for employers who want to fill upcoming summer Intern openings and full-time job openings. Held in early spring, the primary focus for the Austin College Career Fair is to introduce current AC students to opportunities in the professional world of work. Employers can collect resumes and hold informal interviews and advertise internships, part-time and full-time employment opportunities. And, while this isn’t slated as a Recruitment Event, our Career Readiness Check Day held every fall and spring gives you the opportunity to meet students for a 15 minute practice interview to offer valuable feedback on their Career Readiness level. This is a full day event culminating in a Networking Reception where you can meet all students participating. There is no charge to you, the employer, for these events but we ask that you pre-register.
