Description: Have you ever watched a movie and thought to yourself, “there’s no way that scene is physically possible”? Or wondered how much of the techno-babble in a TV show is actually true and how much is made up? In this class, we will be exploring how science is portrayed in different forms of media, including movies, TV shows, and video games. Along the way, we’ll learn the basics of some scientific ideas like Einstein’s relativity, quantum mechanics, gravity, lasers, and rocket propulsion.
