Description: This course will serve as an introduction to sculpture practices. We will be working in a variety of traditions including figurative, pure design, and abstract work. During the course of the term, each student will have an opportunity to learn the basic technical skills relevant to the creation of sculpture. Each student’s visual vocabulary will expand to include the possibility of welding, clay modeling, mold making, plaster work, simple casting, and 3-D modeling and printing.
